With Donnie coming back, the fact so many of of our fellow citizens didn't vote, the fact so many voted for a rapist and a felon. I know you want someone to tell you not to be, that your fears are unwarranted.

This unfortunately isn't that post. Your fears are valid, things are likely going to get very bad for a lot of people. So what do we do? Build community. Find people in your life who you know are good, stick together, stand up for each other. Additionally, it may be worth it to arm yourselves. Not for some grand revolution, but simply because armed minorities are harder to oppress. Protect yourself and your loved ones.

This is the time when we need allies and friends. People who believe in love is love, that you should be free to be yourself. We cannot whimper as the night comes, stand together and rage against the dying of the light my sisters and brothers and siblings. Stay safe, stay strong, I love you all.
