(22f) So I’ve been knowing that I’m queer since I was 13. My family is Christian and (older generation) is homophobic. I remember when my cousin came out as a lesbians and it was a whole big deal and my mom(who was close with her at the time) distanced herself from her and told me( who was like 5-6 at the time) that she’d might touched me inappropriately and be careful around her.

Since then the family has accepted her but they still make remarks about her and anytime that they see LGBT content. I since moved cities for college and the people around me know my sexuality and accepted me with open arms. However, the last couple of years I’ve been wanting to have wlw relationships and I don’t think that when I get into a relationship with a woman it’ll be find out quickly.

I want to start small and tell my closet cousin but the fear of the whole family finding out is scary. I’m not financially dependent on them but my mom still pay for my car and my phone bill, so I worried that’ll she’ll cut me out if I tell her.
