Thanks to my parents I grew up with (among others) their music, and I came to love Freddie, and was heartbroken when I learned that he had ... gone on ... even before I was able to form coherent memories. Their music is part of my life. And as I developed, so did my understanding of their songs. Eg: 'Another One Bites the Dust'. Very edgy, if you're an edgy teenager, but now I have no doubt it is about the AIDS-pandemic (similar to Schweisser's 'Nachrechnen'). Other example: 'I Want to Break Free'. Basically about how society's expectations are not enough. Plus, in the video, the whole band is in drag (and marvelously so)...I could go on with examples, but my question, or topic to discuss is: How relatable is Queen's music to my fellow bicycle-riders? Are you even aware of them?
And, as a short vent: I feel nausea when I see cishets celebrating Queen while they ignore all the background (like being homo- and trans-phobic). It is
