Is there any subtle way to ask a woman if she's into women?

There's this girl that I met in a course for unemployed people in my city, and I'm just kind of smitten with her. Obviously I cannot be direct or anything with her... Is there any subtle way to ask her if she's into girls and single?

Why can't you be direct? At the end of the course, ask her out. If she says no, then it's good you asked when the course was ending, so it doesn't have to be awkward for long. If she says yes, then she's probably into girls. ;)
