When it comes to dating and getting to know people, I (M20) tend to get too excited and overwhelm them with my energy. I've heard the saying "you're never too much for the right person" a lot, but I also think that it's important I learn how to not suppress, but at least manage my approach on the other person so we can take the time we need until we get comfortable letting it all out with each other.
I tend to open up to people really easily, so I think that's why I had no problems just being myself, especially since it's mostly online that I get to talk to them. I also understand that it's the normal response for people to be cautious or have reservations when talking to new people, so I want to know how I can be more gentle in approaching them and avoid putting pressure of some sort.
Any tips or experiences to share?
