Fellow Bi-Men,
Are you on PrEP (for the odd hook-up)? Is it sufficient for one to be on PrEP for both to be safe? Do you require your partner to test before playing?
If you are: how often do you change your sexual-partners - do you consider the med worth it? Do you use condoms additionally or do you feel safe going raw? Has anyone gotten pregnant with PrEP?
If not: do you feel safe? What precautions do you take to stay safe?
Background: My (35m) female partner (of eight years) is very understanding and was very happy for me, when I had a beautiful first-time with a gay man I love and we both trust. He's on PrEP and has regular checkups, as do we. He's very much in love and monogamous with a new partner now and we are all extremly happy for the two, but it also means, that I am on the lookout for someone else, to explore my same-sex sexuality with. Problem is, that my partner and me are both very concearned about staying healthy, especially as we are planning our family. The last times I made out with someone, I kept it in public and thus above the waistline, especially because of our concearnes. Both the others and myself were left longing for more...and I am looking forward to seeing them again... Thankfully they were very understanding. Specifically these two friends are in open-marriages and cruise. I don't know yet, but I'm guessing that they're on PrEP. My partner and me live about five hours of travelling away from my friends group, and visiting and thus partying with them (and hooking up) is a rare occasion (once every other month).
Looking forward to hearing from you - thank you.
