Why is there so much hate
Is this really our fate
Gunned down living our life
A world of violence and strife
Lawmakers voted in to keep us protected
Passing laws that should be objected
Terrified of anyone not the same
Forgetting where they once came
The human race is nothing but a joke
E.T. laughing at us while taking a toke
Watching man destroy it all with our greed
Instead of taking care of the planet we need
What would Jesus do they say
While letting hatred lead the way
Loathing those of us deemed queer
Praying at the altar of fear
How do we not lose hope
Hang ourselves from a rope
I don’t know the answers we seek
When the future looks so bleak
Love is the only weapon I bring to the fight
The only way to make things right
