My daughter, a college freshman, informed us last night that she is bi. She dated a few boys in high school and had a bi-friend that she spent time with. My wife and I had an inclining that she may like girls more than guys and we are ok with it. We are a very open family and try to give the kids enough space to explore themselves.
Now that she has acknowledged this part of herself, we are unsure how to show our support without being overbearing. Do we just let it be or do we actively support her? I know not every person has the exact same needs, but in your experiences what would have helped you as you... I'm not even sure how to express ...." explored"?
