I’ve currently exhausted all my hormonal options. Combo pills give me dangerously high blood pressure, POP pills give me severe acne & mood swings, and Levonorgestrel EC (which has been my go to recently given the side effects of the others) has me loosing my hair…
I used to have a copper IUD years ago but when it expired, I didn’t have the guts to get another one put in. The insertion was so painful that I passed out immediately after it had gone in and threw up a bunch when I came to. The thought of going through that much pain has me in an anxious mess. The doctor who removed my last IUD recommend the Silverline 200Ag device as it’s supposed to be smaller in size and therefore less painful during insertion…has anyone had one of these and can comment on the insertion pain?
I have a phone appointment with my family doctor tomorrow to talk about getting another IUD and I’ll be requesting the Silverline. I’ll also talk to her about what else I can do/get to help with the pain but I’m still terrified at the thought of the excruciating pain that is getting an IUD.
Thanks in advance!
