Background - I’ve been on this shot since May 2017 Last period - May 2017
The place where I usually go to get my shot has closed down until the end of May. I don’t have health insurance and I’m sure going to a new health place isn’t worth the risk of getting the virus. I’ve been advised not to go into any hospitals due to the virus and I understand that. I was supposed to get my shot in February but I couldn’t find the time to for personal reasons. As I was ready to get it this month, well things started getting crazy as you know.
Anyway, I’m wondering if the break from birth control would be good for me or should I just use a back up method like the pill (from one of those delivery services) until all of this blows over? I’ve used the pill method before. Would temporarily switching to the pill be a bad idea?
Me and my boyfriend use condoms. I like them as a safety net because I don’t want any kids. Any guidance for this? Please don’t say talk to a doctor because it’s just not ideal or realistic for me right now. Thank you!
