3 months after I got my Implanon, any sex that involved my vagina became extremely painful. Best way to describe it is it feels like I have a thousand little cuts on the vulva all the time and any form of touch, much less penetration, is so painful I had to stop. I always had pain while having sex but I never had to stop before. My vagina aches on the inside too. Just overall I'm in a lot of pain.

Went to the gyne and he didn't seem it was a side effect of the implant. Eliminated everything and he basically said I may have vulvodynia, which was far as I could tell was a fancy name for pain in vulva with no known cause. Sent me home with numbing cream to 'monitor' myself.

Anyone has experienced the same issue? Did you eventually get it diagnosed or managed?
