If not, could you direct me to the right place please?
I can get this free on the NHS.
I am 39 years old and have never had children, and that is not going to change, so my doctor doesn't seem particularly bothered about me doing this. Before anyone says 'but you may meet someone... ' etc - I vehemently believe that the planet is over-populated enough already, and if I happen to meet someone who wants a family and I soften up to the idea, there are plenty of kids out there with no family who need adopting. Fini!
What I'd really like to know is people's views on the different types; good, bad and indifferent.
It seems to me that Hysteroscopic sterilisation (fallopian implants) would be the best method, although it's not very widely available on the list I linked to.
But really, if the cuts aren't hugely noticeable, I'm not massively bothered; I am covered in scars from being a clumsy oaf, so one more won't send me into 'I can't have sex' meltdown!
I'd love to hear your experiences, many thanks.
Also, I find the 1% failure rate slightly terrifying - do they just say that with ALL contraceptives and ops to protect themselves?
