When I am protected again?

I recently had a medical emergency the other day and was in the hospital for a couple of days. As a consequence of this I missed two birth control pills. I just started them again yesterday. I really don’t want to risk pregnancy, so I am going to abstain from sex until I am protected from pregnancy again. I’m just unsure how long that takes. Any advice?
