Nexplanon bruising after initial healing

Post Body

In mid September of this year I had a nexplanon placed which of course bruised. However as it healed I would get twinges of pain when doing activities like getting out of my car (and putting pressure on my left arm) or turning in bed. I brought this up to my doctor(s) at a follow up appointment and they told me they accidentally put it lower than it usually is placed. However they advised me to keep it in longer and see if the pain stops since it could be caused by scar tissue.

The pain is more manageable now, but I had a look at my arm and the bruise that has initially cleared up is back. When I feel the device itself through my skin, it is tilted from skin going into what seems like muscle or fat. The bruise bothers me the most, because I feel like it shouldn’t still be bruised especially after it healed so well and I’m not known for bruising easily.

Has anyone else experienced this? I love it otherwise, especially after 8 years of chronic pelvic pain with the Mirena.
