Hi!
So I have a bicornuate uterus where the "split" is at the top.
Years ago I was supposed to get an IUD but couldn't because there was no room for it thanks to the location of my uterus split. My current gyno says that he can surgically alter the split to "flatten" the top and then fit the IUD in during the same procedure.
Has anyone else done this? Any thoughts/concerns?
Notes: - trying to manage excessive bleeding (11-14 days with 2-3 days of extremely heavy, debilitating flow) - can't take bc pill, DEPO shot, nor arm implant (same synthetic hormone as DEPO) due to extreme side effects - had ablation procedure years ago, didn't help much - recent scans came out clean, no cysts or polyps, just an angry uterus - ideally would avoid hysterectomy unless absolutely necessary
