I will seek true medical advice on this. I just want to hear about your experiences. I am thirty-nine and had my tubes tied at twenty-seven. I took regular birth control pills a few times in my life, but never a continuous one. I am interested in taking Amethyst in order to stop my period. For those taking this or a similar pill, how long did it take for this to happen to you and what occurred in the meantime? That is, did you get regular periods for awhile, or did they immediately stop, just leaving breakthrough bleeding? Speaking of which, how bad is it? Would it be advisable to wear a liner for some time as my body becomes accustomed to the pill? I am totally blind, so I definitely don't want to have an accident. Will this pill stop symptoms such as mood swings (nothing dangerous, just annoying), gas and/or bloating, heartburn prior to menstruation, and cramps? Should I take some kind of supplement to make up for nutritional deficiencies? I heard that flax seed shouldn't be taken with the pill. Is this true? Thank you for any help given.
