Birds won’t touch new suet feeder

Hi, we had a simple green cage suet feeder but the door latch broke so I got this new wooden one. It’s been up a week and I haven’t seen a single bird on it. I think a chipmunk has taken a few nibbles from the new feeder but no birds. Previously, the birds were all over the suet. Is there something wrong with this feeder design?

It took birds a while to find my window feeder. Now they’re always there! I think they just need to find the feeder
