How many here feel they have a good basic understanding of the behaviorist psychology involved in training?
Post Body

A force fetch thread made me think about this. How many folks that train their own dogs know the basic theory behind the different methods? How many are interested? How many don't care as long as they get results?

In my time as a professional basic obedience trainer, I always felt that if I could get my clients (the people) to understand even a basic snippet, I would have served them well.

So, does theory factor into your training at all?
