Hi! I began taking Lamictal a little over a year ago and have been on 100mg for about 8-9 months. I used to take 1/2 pill in the AM and 1/2 in the PM, but I found myself missing a lot of doses because of the PM dose. My job has weird hours and I didn’t want to carry meds with me since I work with kids. Anyways, at my last med appointment in August my doctor said I could take the whole 100mg tablet in the morning with my anxiety med. I’ve been doing that and I have not been able to sleep before 3-4 am for the last 2-3 weeks… It’s important to note that my partner who I live with has been gone since the end of August so that could be a factor. But they’ve been gone for long periods of time before and usually my sleep schedule adjusts to being alone, not this time though.
Is this a common experience? When I was taking 1/2 tablet twice a day I didn’t experience this. But I feel like when I made the switch to the full tablet I’ve been struggling. Part of me wants to wait until my partner gets home (beginning of October) to see if that was affecting my sleep, but I also can’t do this sleep schedule anymore. It’s currently 2am and I have to be up in 5 hours for work and I’m not even close to being tired…
