How do you tell your story and not come off as a victim?
Post Body

I am doing good these days. Every time I meet someone and we get to talking about our professional lives questions eventually come up about my past 10 years which were spent in depression. Their reaction is always of apprehension and pity. Like I am making excuses for myself. I want to share my story without being seen as a victim. How do I do that? It’s almost as if I told everyone I spent the last 10 years partying instead that they’d have more sympathy for me.
