Feeling manic after starting Lamotrigine?

Not sure if this is a common experience, but I have been feeling really manic and energetic since starting titration of Lamotrigine. I'm not sure if this is because I am just used to feeling miserable and depressed all the time, and this is my actual 'baseline', or if I actually am having a manic episode.
