Doctor wants to stop Lamictal Immediately
Post Body

My med provider wants to stop my Lamictal due to a rash developing on my face. It IS possible that it’s acne that was caused by the medication but she doesn’t want to chance it. But she’s telling me she wants me to manage my symptoms by myself (unmedicated) and then I can go back to her if I can’t?

Now, to preface, I am so grateful to be extremely high functioning with Bipolar 2. However, I’m worried about my “no brainer ideas” that I get with hypo mania. It effects my work.

So I guess the question is, do I start to look for short term disability options to really focus solely on my med change/action plan? Has anyone else taken these steps in a corporate environment before. I’m feeling so lost, I was doing AWESOME for a little over two years, with no problems.

My original meds were Abilify, Lamictal and then vyvanse was added for my ED. But now they just want me on vyvanse. Help help help what do I do here. TYIA.
