panicking about potential med change
Post Body

Hi bipolar peeps, I keep having breakthrough manic symptoms. It's been happening since I got covid in june. My doctor has maxed me out on 2 different antipsychotics and I take another mood stabilizer that helps me sleep. The last dosage change was made about a week ago (only 50mg of a medication where that's not a ton), but it's all the room we had left. I'm panicking because he said if this doesn't work we will be moving to less favorable meds like lithium. I just read the side effects and such of lithium and I'm terrified about it.... The people who take lithium... Am I scared for no reason? I feel the best I've ever felt on these current meds but that's probably because of the breakthrough symptoms.
