University students: how do you manage with hypomania?

Post Body

I'm at the tail end of my bachelor degree (set to finish in December) and at the end of March a hypomanic episode set in. I'm a part-time online student so I work at my own pace but I do have deadlines for the end of each course. Since the hypomania started I haven't been able to sit down and focus on my school work. I figured the episode would last maybe a couple of weeks but it's still going strong and at this point I may need to ask for an extension on the course I'm currently enrolled in which I was trying to avoid. How do you manage your hypomania as a student? I'm so close to finishing my degree and I've been working on it for so long I don't want to screw it up with my bipolar disorder.
