Do you have any New Year's Resolutions that are specifically Bipolar related?
Over the past two years, I have been in the hospital for over 5 months (over the course of 4 different hospitalizations), most of which was involuntary. My New Year's Resolution for 2022 is to not require inpatient care.
I am curious if you have any New Year's Resolutions around your mental health/bipolar that might be a bit awkward to share with the general population but would fit perfectly on here!
Mine last year was to try and exert more self control and be less impulsive with relationships and sex. I had some blips, but for the most part I succeeded.
I'm going to keep it as my resolution as I think that if I don't, I won't keep it. It's something I have to work on, not something I've fixed.
Edit: I should clarify that poor impulse control is a huge factor for both aspects if my bipolar. Especially around drinking and sex.
