My job is very cyclical and I find that my busy seasons tend to line up with when my moods cycle (usually May and October/November). It feels so hopeless when I start to get depressed and my performance suffers. During these times I often think about quitting my job or trying to find a part time job but once Iām back in control of my moods, I realize I want to continue with my current career.
I often worry that my poorer performance during depressive cycles will negatively impact my career, which adds to my stress when Iām down. How do you guys cope with cycling moods when you have to perform at work? How do you deal with the self doubt surrounding your performance/career choices?
