DAE feel like their bipolar diagnosis helps with their depression?

Before I knew I had bipolar I had a depression diagnosis and everytime I would get really depressed I struggled to see a light at the end of the tunnel and I'd lose hope of ever getting better, but now that I know I'm bipolar everytime it gets really bad one of the few things that keeps me going is that I know it won't last because at some point I'll cycle again
