Me and my wife recently tried poly but after review we realized that the only reason we were trying it was because she wanted to be in a relationship with a man that she had prior relations with. After serval attempts of trying to be ok with it I can no longer deal with the lies and decent from her, because they had a prior relationship she feels the need to lie to me and do thinks behind my back. We've talked about it and I've told her that I want what's best for her, I'll support her in any decision she makes but I'm not able to be in a poly relationship that involves him. We've thought this through thoroughly and we've decided to work on our marriage. Now in the midst of all this she's recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder which explains a lot of our problems. So the point of all this back story is, I'm looking for help from anyone that has experience in dealing with bipolar disorder. We have a 7 year relationship that's for the most part coveted by most people. We normally have total communication and we always take each other's opinions above our own. This is something new for both of us, and neither of us are ready to call our marriage off. Is there anyone with positive criticism that had experienced this? Everything we've read online says that a person with bipolar disorder can't be trusted and basically we have a 90% chance of getting divorced.
