Signs that lamictal is working?

I've been titrating up from 25mg for two weeks. I'm on week three now and taking 75mg per day. Next week up to 100mg. This feels like a stupid question, but how do I know if it's working? I feel like it may be because my mood swings aren't giving me whiplash as severely, but I'm worried it's all in my head. Not even sure I've been on it long enough to see any change.
