How bad is your sleep?
Post Body

Hey /r/Bipolar,

I'm 36 and feel like I've lost my ability to sleep without some sort of assistance. I spent most of my senior year of high school with between 4-6 hours a night of sleep. At the same time, I used to request close/open shifts at McDonalds. We were out of the store by 11:30pm and I was back by 4:30am.

More recently, I've spent years (3-5) running on 3-4 hours with 18 hour catchup sessions on the weekend. As of today, I can no longer sleep in blocks longer than 3-4 hours without Seroquel. I skipped two doses in the last month, both resulted in 40 hour awake periods and like these little multi-day manic aftershocks.

So Reddit, it's 5am and I have to ask, just how bad is your sleep and How bad does it mess with you when you don't get it?

Comments

My sleep pattern is fucked. Started when I used to be out all night like 5 nights a week as a teen, then attempting to work nights and go to university when I was 19/20, and now working in a supermarket in the day and in a bar at night, as well as my bf doing bar work and often working nights.
