so for context, my family was very anti mental health, and even more against mental health medication because my mum was misdiagnosed with a panic disorder and got put on antidepressants in the 90s (she has PCOS)
I have been living away from my parents for over a year now, and my current partner helped me to finally muster up the courage and see a GP for a psych referral, who recognised a lot of bipolar traits in me, and after a couple of followup appointments, I HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED LATUDA AND MELATONIN!!! this is only in the interim until i actually see a psych cause the waitlists here are abysmal, but im so happy :)
i only took it once so far, but i can already note my quality of sleep has improved so much in such a short time, and i feel weird not being so high strung all the time :โ) i am so fucking happy, it feels like everything will finally be ok! they are probably going to up my dose on Friday too, which i am curious about with how it will go, but iโll keep yโall updated
