Nostalgic Crying to Music
Post Body

Been a while since I have posted, but I am glad to say I 'graduated' or more preferably to say got to a good place with therapy to take a break financially.

I have stayed hyper-conscious of my behaviors and triggers, though one I didn't expect is I have gotten so emotional about music recently. I normally am sensitive to media like movies, tv, music, art etc. anything that inflicts emotion, but I mean I was listening to Face to Face by Daft Punk at work and started tearing up. I have really good memories associated with my first few listens of Discovery (the album) and this incident like the others, was related to a good memory/ positive reaction to nostalgia.

Though I am struggling to kind of hone everything in and keep it cool. This feels painful to type out due to the cringey behavior but I cried to several Star Wars tik tok montages because of the darn remixes of the Force Theme and M83. One of them was literally a Shin Hati / Hera thirst trap with sad music and I cried thinkin' about the gang in Rebels. Another example was I heard the first four notes to an old My Chemical Romance song I hadn't listen to in a while and kinda happy cry jammed out on the way home from work (it was Teenagers... not very sad at all).

Wanted to know other people's thoughts on how healthy or common my reactions are. I have gotten self conscious of this in context of dating because I am like dang, am I too emotional for a heterosexual guy?
