As a community, one of the most common topics we've noticed is babies. It comes in many different varieties - thinking about having kids, being pregnant (intentionally or accidentally), new to being a parent, wanting to adopt, etc.
This month’s outreach is about supporting those dealing with these thoughts and emotions in a nonjudgemental space. We understand that this is a sensitive topic for some, but please remain civil in your comments. It is not our place to advise someone what to do with their reproduction system, just share our experiences and resources.
Please, let us know...
How did you decide that having children was right for you?
What was your biggest struggle when you/your partner was pregnant, and how did you cope?
As a new parent, how did you manage to stay stable?
If you adopted, what was that process like?
We understand that not everyone who becomes pregnant can support a child. If you've had an abortion or gave a child up for adoption, what was that experience like?
If you are living in the United States and need assistance with an abortion, there are resources to help. Abortion Finder can show you places that are available to help. Abortion Funds lists local organizations that can help cover the cost if you cannot afford this procedure. Plan C offers safe at-home pill options up to 10 weeks from the first day of your last period. We do not encourage or discourage abortion - this is a choice that you must make with your support team.
