Hypomania while on meds
Post Body

Can someone please share their experience of hypomania while being on meds/therapy/balanced lifestyle? How do you compare that to unmedicated symptoms? Would you be more receptive (while on meds) to someone pointing irrational behaviour/signs out to you ? Thanks

Comments

While medicated you have much more control and lucidity in my experience. I can sit down and say 'no don't do that, that is stupid/dangerous/bad for you' and then maybe channel the mania into something else exciting, but safer and cheaper etc.

And yes, when unmedicated I was insatiable in my desire to do more, better things, even if other people would tell me to calm down, reel myself back in etc. Now my bf and friends can see me start to spiral and nudge me back in the right direction and I'll accept their judgement more when promoted.
