Just had my year end review which went really well and I brought up promotion. Currently AD and looking to move to D.
My manager is fully supportive and has my back but apparently my company has 1 promotion cycle per year. Managers nominate employees around Jul and promotions come in September. He said I will definitely be nominated and will most likely get it.
The 1 promotion cycle per year seems super crazy to me. Do other big pharmas operate the same way? I feel I deserve the promotion Q1 2025 as opposed to possibly Q4 2025.
