Hello, I recently learned in AP Biology that nerve cells can’t regenerate, this is the reason we have certain conditions such as paralysis that can’t be cured. Ever since that I have been asking myself, is it possible to tell our body to regenerate our own nerves? Is there a certain gene that is inhibited and is just waiting to be turned on? I have so many questions on neuroregeneration. Can anyone maybe give me any insight on the subject? Thanks!
