Install package from github (not python) using conda env?
Post Body

I'm fairly certain the answer is no, but maybe someone here knows something I don't.

Basically, I want to run new version of package, but the new package isn't in conda yet. I'm under a time constraint, so I can't afford wait. I'd like to install this package using the resources in my conda env. I would install it the normal way, but the new version requires updated g 4.7 which I have in my conda env, and I don't have sudo to apt-get g 4.7 to the server I'm working on. I hope that's clear enough.

By the way, can I just submit a pull request to bioconda/conda/anaconda, or can only the person maintaining the conda package do that?

EDIT: was able to get it working using devtoolset
