What is your company's policy on publication? Trying to decide whether to publish something minor.
Post Body
For those of you in industry, how does your company decide whether to publish something you've worked on? We're encouraged to publish, but I often struggle to decide whether it's really worth my time and effort, especially if it's not part of the core product. My personal leaning is to not even bother -- I really don't care about my publication count at this point in my career -- but if the bosses think something will make us look good I'm happy to be a team player. How about you?
