Hi ladies,
I had a post up yesterday on xxfitness that was taken down. The following was the content so that you can recognize me.
"Is there a fitness thread specific to women who are peri or mid-40s. Unfortunately, I have trouble relating to the paths of women who are in their 20s and 30s b/c hormones are on their side in a way that is no longer true for me."
There were some amazing responses that I am not sure if they are still viewable: stavthedonkey comment, Beeroll comment, Artemisdeluna comment, Lilliewags comment
I wanted to create a post where we could continue the discussion on how to biohack into optimum fitness for this 40s/50s / perimenopause/menopause stage of life.
I saw your post over there. I'm 38 so probably very early in the peri process but I feel like I struggle most with recovery from exercise (DOMS) and building muscle. I'm wanting to explore testosterone supplementation but need to get tested first. Do you take creatine? I think that helps a bit. I'm also working on correcting my iron deficiency which has been difficult to do but makes a difference in fatigue levels. I'm using red light/infrared to try and reduce DOMS and I think it does help too.

I've been considering it but I'm such a wimp with cold lol! I've been looking more into getting a home sauna because of the studies on cardiovascular health and hoping it helps with muscles and recovery too.
