I stopped playing around the time Afterbirth came out, due to not being able to purchase the DLC at the time. I'm now attempting to get back into the game now that Repentance is here, and to be honest with you, I'm starting to regret it.

Boss armour. Fucking boss armour. I hate it so much. Literally the only purpose it serves is to make it so that a build I'm enjoying, a build I'm having fun with, gets its ass handed to it because for some arbitrary reason the boss just doesn't take any damage.

I just had a run where I got Ipecac, Technology, Triple Eye, enough shot speed pills to choke a pelican, and Host Hat, and I was genuinely having fun! Things were melting! It was beautiful!

Maybe I can take on Hush! I did it before back in Afterbirth, surely I can do it now with all these delightfully broken builds!

No. No, I cannot, because despite the fact that I obliterated every boss before it like so much chunky salsa, it was decreed that I Don't Get To Have Fun Any More.

I think I'm going to put the game down until mods are turned back on, because I'm just not having fun with things as they currently are. And may all the gods help me if I actually want to unlock, nevermind play, the content I just paid for.
