Post Body

Hi everyone, so I just woke up to an email from binance saying my ID cannot be verified. Looks like someone is trying to hack into my account and was unsuccessful. What I don't understand is how anyone got my account name. Do they need my full name to do this? Do they need my email? My personal data? I ask because I do not share my name in the internet nor do I use my general email for crypto. I have a very very specific email that I don't use anywhere else, so if they got my email then I'm quite worried.

Should I try to contact Binance and let them know the access was not performed by me?

Thanks!

Edit: Thanks everyone for your help! The email I received was a scam email, not to mention I have been spam messaged on Reddit by scam bots since I posted this. I didn't click on any links, I also don't have a Binance account anymore so it really doesn't matter if I keep getting spam emails I guess. Take care, everyone 🍻
