Fee for Cross Chain Transfer using Binance Chain Wallet

How much BNB does it actually cost to make a cross-chain transfer of coins/tokens from the Binance Chain Network (Main) to BSC and vice-versa.

I notice when I attempt to make a transfer it quotes the fee at roughly under 0.004 (about USD$2.5). However, after making the transfer, when I check the transaction it says the fee is only 0.0004 (about USD$0.26). Is there a hidden fee somewhere that gets charged, or did they overquote the fee before the actual transaction?
