I came across this video of CJ Wiley running out vs the ghost playing 15 ball rotation. Throughout the video he mentions something called "Touch of Inside" and says that he rarely aims away from center to center and center to edge when playing a cut shot.
My understanding of center to x aiming is that you're aiming through the center of the cue ball at a portion of your object ball. For example, if you're shooting a center to edge shot, you're pointing your tip through the center of the cue ball and at the left or right edge of your object ball, depending on which direction you're cutting.
Is CJ saying that he only needs those two fractions of aim because his "Touch of Inside" does the rest of the work?
And if so, how can that be? I'm not a master at cutting the ball, but I'm pretty sure that even with a tip of left or right spin you'd need more fractions than that to make certain cuts. Or maybe I'm wrong. I'd love for someone to explain this to me because I'm confused.
