Its May the start of the mountain biking season in Colorado and I've gone through 4 tires already.
Not a single puncture was sealed with Stans every puncture was either near the bead or sidewall effectively making the tire useless.
All four tires were 2 months from being new and had less than 100 miles one each of them.
Quite Frankly I'm fed up spending $80 every time a tire blows up which seems to be weekly. I don't have an air compressor and I've been to a bike shop about 5 times in the last month just trying to get tires seated.
I'm honestly done I was promised lighter weight more traction and more durability and have seen none of the above benefits. I'm considering throwing a tube in there and calling it a day. I run plenty of PSI 30-35 front and 35-40 psi rear. I've gone through Nobly Nics, Kenda Newvegal pros and a Kenda Honey Badgers.
I have never worn out a tire and have replaced them solely because of rock cuts and dings never because of milage. As if you can't tell I'm fed up I'm tired of visiting a bike shop for air and I'm tired of wasting money on tires that last less than a month.
Should I just stick a tube in it and not bother.
EDIT:
As an update I recent bought a Topeak pressure gauge and am astonished at how off my pressure gauge is on my pump.
What I thought was 20-27 ended up being 9 PSI.
So its actually a miracle I've been riding how I have. Ha I guess check your gauges. hopefully running 20-24 PSI instead of 5-6 PSI should make a world of difference.
So its no wonder that I've gotten so many flats!
thanks for the tips I got an EXO double down DHF and have never spent so much on a tire in my life but I need it for a race next week.
