Made my first post on this sub yesterday. I decided to buy my first old/ beat up cheap bike as I wanted to give bike repair and restoration a try as a hobby. Not only do I enjoy riding bikes but working with my hands as well so I guess all it took was me realizing the shear volume of people selling old bikes for pretty cheap or free online for me to give this a try.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for tools or tool kits. Stuff that you'll probably need on any bike you work on/ get a lot of use out of but also not too expensive. I figure it's like camping. You don't buy the $400 dollar tent unless you're sure it's something you're going to keep up, and the only way you figure that out is by buying the $49.99 dollar tent first. There are some options on amazon, but I would appreciate any suggestions on tool kits or individual tools that won't break the bank. I also have a $50 dollar amazon gift card which is a plus.
Appreciate any help you all have to offer!
