Is it a bad idea to remove my derailleur?
Post Body

I try clean up my drivetrain components about bi-weekly since I commute in Seattle and they get pretty caked in dirt. I’ve never removed/installed a derailleur because I felt it would affect my shifting. Is this the case? Should taking the derailleur off be apart of the standard cleaning process? I clean what I can with small brushes, but there are definitely spots I miss.
