I just started building a bike and ran into a few issues which are stressing me out. Firstly, I’ve got a square tapet bb, which won’t screw in the frame. I managed to get the drive side in by just screwing it in strongly (I know I shouldn’t have), but the non drive side goes barely in. Did I fuck up the threads by using too much force while trying and should I just run my luck with a press fit bb and order new cranks? Secondly, the cassette makes a weird noise and requires a lot of force to turn. I’m assuming the freehub body is just a little too long and it’s squeezing the cassette together to tightly. How can I resolve my issues?
