square spindle?

I bought a square shimano cues crankset (1x), thinking it will come with a spindle, but it did not. My bsa bb i purchased also does not have a spindle. Furthermore, square spindles aren't really for sale and only come with a certain type of bottom brackets? I'm in the process of building a bike and have all the parts more or less, did I buy a wrong type of crankset? I am so confused
