I like to hike for multiple days (sometimes months) when visiting a country(s). But I'm thinking of going with a bike to cover more miles easily. I like to get off-road and wild camping, but I don't know which bike can handle it. I'm looking for a "hybrid": great for roads and good for difficult terrains (not too hard).

My gear (without a backpack, water and food) weight about 8Kg

Let me know your thoughts, brands and models would be perfect to start good research on this subject.
