Bikes and rain.

Post Body

Recently on the southern left coast we have had a fair bit of rain (for us). This got me thinking. What is everybody doing to protect their rigs from the rain? I have a super compact set up using a Rab Ridge Raider bivvy/tent thing for me to sleep in… but Aela (my custom Orbea Terra) usually sleeps under the stars. So, I picked up a sheet of tyvek sized for a 2P tent on Etsy and think I might bring that along with some simple bungees on trips that might get wet. That way I can at least lean her up and cover her. What is everyones thoughts about trips that go sour with rain? Is protecting the bike really a concern of most of you?

cheapest UL solution would be a 15D or less tarp. Cheapest one you can get in the EU would be one of those 3ful poncho tarps at 150g, should be big enough and you can set it up as a roof too and cook/chill under it in addition to a tent
